Kitchen Tip Tuesday

I have recently discoverd parchment paper and I love it! I like to use it to line cookie sheets for baking cookies and bread.

The only problem is that it is a little expensive. So I reuse it! That's right, after the bread or cookies are finished I dust off the crumbs and let the parchment paper cool. Then I fold it up and stick it in the cupboard for next time.

Of course, I toss it if it looks grungy or after I have used it a few times. It is paper and I would not want to re-use it too much, it might become a fire hazard!

Hi, I'm mom2fur of sortafrugal.blogspot.com. I need to get myself some parchment paper--it really is helpful. I've never thought to reuse it--great idea!

I love parchment paper! I use to for all my cookie baking. I have also considered buying a silpat silicone baking mat to use instead of the parchment, but I haven't yet.

Its Patty (givengrace) from tchk.org. I love browsing your blog.
I've never used parchment paper, I don't seem to do alot of baking lately.
I do love to cook with cast iron tho. I have several different sizes of pans. One is an old Griswold double skillet (bottom) that I found at the thrift store for $1. They can be heavy.
Hope you have a great weekend. Come visit me at my blog hallhaven.blogspot.com
