Another Saturday!
It seems forever since I have had the time to sit down and update my blog.    With Keith home my life changes so much.    It seems there is always something to do or somewhere to go.    While I enjoy being with him, it does make life hard for all the things that need to be done around here.    I guess when you get right down to it, there's really nothing that life-shattering that has to be done.
After a week of running, Jeni and I have both came down with horrid colds.  (I think she gave me mine!)    I really feel horrible this morning but I wanted to do a few things before I give in and go back to bed.    So I quickly started my "Caramel" candle (This house smells yummy and you know it must be strong if I can smell it with this cold I have!) and then I stuck a batch of Blueberry Muffins in the oven for my crew.    I'm going to take some chicken breast out of the freezer in a little while and then I'm just going to get up long enough today to fix Greek Pizza for supper.   We went to the grocery store earlier in the week so there's tons of sandwich fixing for lunch....Just hope Keith gets up well as he's going to be in charge!
One reason I have to get well is next weekend I'm going to a "hook-in" with my friend Betty in Lenexa, Ks.!    I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to it!    Not only will we get to chat for hours in the car {Nothing like sharing a long car ride with a friend who loves the same thing you do!} but can you imagine a room full of people (AND WOOL!!!) who all love the same thing????    I swear, it's going to be like heaven on earth!!!!   I've already told Keith I'm taking plenty of cash because I plan to come home with a car full of wool and patterns! HA  ~~~ Heck, I'm just excited thinking of all the extra money I'll save by  not having to pay postage to have it delivered.   More money to spend on wool!!!!     So, I just have to get better because I sure don't want to miss going!
Now before I can go to this hook-in, I have to have something to hook on!    For the life of me I can't decide what to do so I'm thinking along the line of a scrappy chair pad.   My computer chair is seen from our front door and the pad I have now is starting to look horrible so maybe that would be something.....Isn't it fun to have something to look forward to after the long days of winter????
Speaking of winter....Today is another dark day and it's predicted we will have rain by afternoon and snow by morning!   At least it's not suppose to accumulate into inches so that's a blessing.    Everyone around here is so tired of the cold, dark days.   Honestly I don't think we've seen but a couple of days of sun this week.   On one of those days I managed to snap a photo of a "log cabin" that graces my fireplace hearth as the sun shinned on it.    I'm going to leave you with that picture and a prayer that  your days are sunny and your experiencing good health.    Blessings, Sher
