Join me for a Muffin???
|
My day has started off on the weird side! I walked into the kitchen this morning to start my little ones breakfast and a quick glance at the table told me something was wrong. There were all these little what looked like "mice droppings" all over the table! All I could do was stare and wonder where they came from! Suddenly it hit me....Last night Jeni and her daddy worked outside until dark. When they came in they wanted hot cocoa. As I was getting the Cool Whip out I heard her ask Keith if he wanted Chocolate Sprinkles on his. Suddenly those "mice droppings" made sense...They were the chocolate sprinkles that didn't make it to the top of the Cool Whip! Chocolate sprinkles sure beat the other!!!! HA
A quick glance at the menu this morning reminded me this is the day I'm to make "Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins". These muffins are one of my families very favorites. The little ones call them "Share muffins" because they are so big you can't eat a whole one so they have to be shared with a friend! HA They are truly jumbo gourmet style muffins! The batch only makes four but I've found there's to much of the cream cheese filling so now I always double the muffin and topping part and make eight. Eight jumbo muffins are way to much for our little family of four so I've now got to decide what I'm going to do with all of them. Does anyone know if the cream cheese in them would freeze???? If not I guess I'm going to have to go see my old boss and pawn some off on him! HA
They are predicating bad storms tomorrow so I'm now on a race to get all my laundry washed and hung out before they move in. Normally this wouldn't have been any problem but Keith has drug out his winter clothes (I swear the man is worse than any woman I know...He could go months and never wear the same outfit!!) so I have all of them to do too. The clothes lines are just about full so I'm coming to a stand-still on doing any more.
Our weekend is suppose to be nice so we are now trying to decide if we want to go to Topeka shopping. I bought a new Needle Punch pattern earlier this week and naturally I don't have the floss needed to do it. Then there's the fact I could use a "Sam's Club Run"....Getting low on chicken breast and flour. We just have to decide if what we need is worth the gas up there to get it!!!!
Yesterday I got around and finished up the little pinkeep I made for my new friend Deena and it's now on it's way to IL.! This is the first time I have ever done one in browns and blues and at first I wasn't sure I would like it. Actually, I didn't until I gave it a tea-bath and sprayed it with "Granny's Kitchen". Suddenly it didn't look half bad. I sure hope she likes it and that it's there by tomorrow.
I'm now working on a sampler to put in an old black frame I picked up at a garage sale. This is for my house and will be different than anything I've ever done before. Sure hope I'm pleased with the way it turns out and that it works up quickly!
Well it's time to fix my honey some lunch so I'd best get in there. I hope everyone is having a super day and that the weather is as gorgeous at your house as it is here on the farm. Fall Blessings! Sher
