Coffee's On!!!!
Good Morning!
Coffee is on and the sun is shinning.   For how long I'm not certain (We're suppose to have rain today!) but for now everything looks gorgeous!   It's been a busy weekend here on the farm.    Seth and Codi came home from college on Friday afternoon and spent the day working on my old Buick.    To those of you who don't know me, I have this little 1993 Buick that I love like family.   It only has a little over 60,000 miles on it and Keith and I always joke it's the best running vehicle we own.   Alas the years are starting to take their toll on her.   The paint isn't as bright and shiny as it once was and the chrome doesn't shine like a mirror.    Seth decided this week it was time to get back her back in tip-top shape.   I swear, Codi and him spent all afternoon waxing and buffing that little car.   At the end of their labors I now have a car that looks almost as good as new!...Ok, make that "It looks as good as a fourteen year old car can look"! HA
Yesterday was the auction that Keith and I were wanting to go to.     Seth and Codi graciously offered to baby-sit so off we went.  While there was nothing at the sale I wanted (Keith did buy a couple of ladders) I really had a good time.   I ran into some girls I used to work with and we spent hours catching one another up on all the news in our families.   One of the girls is getting ready to build yet another new home!   This one will have the Tucson look and will be different than any home in our area.   It was so much fun going over her house plans and see all the things she has came up with to decorate it.   Now to get together to go out and see where they are actually building it.   She's so excited (Her husband is getting ready to retire at age 52) and it was contagious to listen to her! HA
Another friend has a son the same age as our Sam so it was great to chat "kids"! HA   There were only three boys in this whole class who have graduate from college.   (One of the young men is going to Pharmacy school so he has a few years to go!)   Rhonda and I were talking about how proud we are of them for sticking with it and making it to the end.   They are both married now with good jobs and we feel like we've done our jobs.   Two proud Mamma's here!
The rest of my weekend has been picking up the house and cooking!   I swear I spend more time in the kitchen than I do any other room of the house! ~~~~I'll bet Codi said a half a dozen times Friday afternoon, "This house smells so good", "This house smells so homey"!   I guess that's the incentive I need to keep cooking! HA
Now that the weekend is almost over it's time to get back in the swing of things.   Drew has finished reading his book and made his notes so now it's time to work on the actual "book report".   I asked him if he was a nervous about standing in front of the class and he said "No but I'm a little curious".   I'm not sure what that's suppose to mean! HA  Jeni has two pages of math to complete so I know how our day is going to be spent.
Well, it's time to get back to work.   Tomorrow I hope to tell you some exciting news regarding my PictureTrail!   I hope everyone has had  safe and productive weekend.  I hope you meet the work week with a smile.  Fall Blessings, Sher
