Rain Again????

It's another dark and dreary day here in Kansas! Thankfully we didn't get the storms that were predicted yesterday but I was sure hoping for sun today. I feel guilty for saying that because we honestly do need the rain around here. Everything is so dry our county has had to put a burn ban on. Plus, there's all my flowers to consider. In just a few short months they are going to be shooting up so they really need a good drink now.
With another dark day ahead of me I'm going to have to rethink my plans for the day. (In other words, no clothes will be hung out today!) To those of you who think my home looks so great...Boy have I got you fooled!!!! We live in a little tiny house and with two little ones and two college kids that come home every now and then, it's always a mess! Of course it doesn't help that Keith and I are both the biggest pack-rats you have ever seen. So, while my plans have changed somewhat, I could still spend my day cleaning house. Like that is going to happen!!!! At this point I'm just going to make the beds, pick up and plan a big meal for supper. Everything else can wait another day or two.
Tomorrow promises to be a fun day for all of us. We're meeting our two college sons and their girlfriends in Topeka and we're all going out to eat and then shopping. Keith is wanting to look for some special things for the cottage (Note, it's now a "cottage" not a cabin! HA) and since Drew has a birthday coming up, we want to hit Toy's R Us!~~~Needless to say we will be in there HOURS while he looks at all the Thomas the Train things. It will be nice to have the four younger kids together again and a trip to Sam's Club always makes for good eating/cooking for weeks afterwards
I snapped a picture of some of the "new" things we bought this week. (All of these things will be for resale in our shop.) I'll share it with you and then it's time to at least do a few things around here. I hope you all have a great day and that your getting more done than I am! Blessings, Sher |
