Thursday Morning

It's a cool Thursday morning on the farm.    I had planned to get up early and start painting on our arbor.   Keith had plans of getting back to work on the cabin.   One step out the door and we decided those plans could wait a few hours.   I'm sure it will warm up shortly but I'm not going out and freeze just to do a little painting.
One of the antique stores Keith and I went into Tuesday greeted all their customers with the most wonderful smelling candle I have ever smelled!   To those of you who know me, you know that candles are one of my weakness.   Actually, I normally use tarts which I warm in my candle warmer because with little ones I really don't like to have candles burning.   However, they were out of the tarts in this scent and there was no way I was going home without one so I bought a big candle!   This morning I since I knew I was going to be in the house for a few hours I decided to light it.   Within ten minutes the smell of "Grandma's Cookies" filled the house!   I wish I could share the maker of these wonderful candles with you but the owner of the antique shop told me she had exclusive rights to them for their area and they couldn't be sold anywhere else.    This is one candle that is definitely worth the money and you can bet I'll be going back for more.
With the house smelling so yummy, I decided this would be a good time to try out the new table cloth I just bought for my kitchen table.  Now here's the "story"  behind it...When I bought this table cloth Tuesday, it was a bright red and white checked.   That white definitely didn't go in my primitive kitchen so I bought some tan dye and decided to experiment with it.   Yesterday I soaked it the washing machine with the dye and salt and after thirty minutes hung it on the line.   I'm really pleased with the way it turned out.   Gone is that stark white and in it's place is a dull tan.   I've taken a picture so you can see the results.
Well, Keith has went after concrete so he can finish up the foundation of the cabin today so I had better get in gear.   I'm not sure what I'm going to bake but it better be enough so this crew will have something to snack on this evening.   Have a good day everyone and get lots done!  Blessing, Sher
