I'm Back!
It's been forever since I have had time to write.    It's hard to believe that I can't get my life back on some sort of normal routine.   My parents are slowly but surely starting to get their life back.  Daddy has calmed down about the fire (I'm going to post a picture so you can see how bad it really was.) and PTL Mother's surgery showed no cancer.    We try to go over there once or twice a week and I call every other day if not daily to see if they need something.   Thankfully they don't live more than twenty miles away so if they do need something I can be there in a matter of minutes.
Once things calmed down for them I thought for sure they would for us.   That wasn't to be.   Drew, our seven year old has had a knot come up on his jaw.   With the mumps scare going around our doctors thought it might be that, even though he had all his shots and did blood work.   I was pretty sure it wasn't because he didn't act the least bit sick and could eat anything he wanted.  (How well I remember those days of not being able to eat a thing when I had mumps!)   Once that was ruled out (After missing almost a full week of school waiting for the test to come back!) we had to find out what was causing it.   We saw our dentist yesterday and he said he does have a cavity in the tooth above where the swelling is but since it doesn't hurt....  Monday we are on our way to see a Pediatric Dentist.   If we don't get answers there we're on our way to Children's Mercy.    It does seem to be down a little this morning so hopefully we're getting to the bottom of this.
Our weather has been rain, rain and then more rain! GRRRR   At first we really enjoyed watching our flowers grow by the inch over night but unfortunately the grass as been growing right beside them!   With the cost of gas right now ($2.75 a gallon) Keith and I have started talking about how many miles to the gallon our lawnmowers are getting! HA   It really isn't a joke as we mow over three acres so it does add up!  Especially when we're mowing every three to four days!
While I have been working in my flower beds, Keith has been working on the cabin.   He finally has the porch on and now it's a question of the rain letting up enough for me to get out there and get it painted.   He's now moved on to working on the walls of the bedroom.   We have been using wood that we picked up here and there at sales and we're trying to make it all work together.  What a challenge!!!!  I'll be so glad when we actually have it all finished so we can start moving everything in and getting it all decorated.
Well, it's another rainy day here so I guess I'll do some housework and then try and catch up on some of these note I owe.  Then hopefully I can make something yummy for supper.   I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and that your getting just enough rain to make things grow but not enough to be to much.   Blessings, Sher

Glad to hear your mother's health is better, but what a picture of the burned building!

I am so glad nobody was hurt. The Lord watches over us doesn't he?
