Even More Memories
This week has been one of those weeks when memories have been made.    First there was Tuesday as I picked up walnuts in the rain with my Mom.   (And believe it or not I didn't have one sore muscle from that little venture so I must be in better shape than I thought! HA)   Yesterday there was my visit with my dear friend Carolyn.    Tomorrow there are even more memories to be made..........
Last month I missed the Topeka Hook-In because my Dad had suffered his second heart attack and I was frankly afraid to leave the farm.    I'm happy to report while he's still not out of the woods, he is doing better (Praise Jesus!).    At this point I'm to where I'm able to go out of town so I've decided to take off early in the morning for Hook-in.
Okay, it's time to be honest here.   There is another reason I'm wanting to go....Judy is having a super sale on wool!! HA    I've already got my check book to the front of my purse, my pen is full of ink and now it's just a question of getting down those stairs ahead of the other girls.    Poor Jo-Jo hasn't been feeling well so I figure I can out run her.   However, that Betty & Robin pose a real problem.   Both gals are younger, thinner and just all around in better shape than I am.   I've been wracking my brain and about all I can hope for is they get side tracked by all the good food Judy will have or maybe I can trip one of them and the other one will stop to help! HA  Just kidding girls, you know I love you all!!!!
Just being at the Hook-In and seeing everyone and all the wonderful rugs being worked on will be such a boost for this ole gal.    I've been in such a slump lately and I really need some inspiration.   And inspiration is just what you get at the Topeka Hook-in!!!!   Seth bought me a new camera a couple months ago and I finally learned how to run it yesterday.   It's going in my hooking bag so hopefully by Monday I'll have some wonderful pictures to share with you.
Well girls, I've got to get my salad made for the luncheon tomorrow and then some housework done if I hope to walk out the door bright and early.   I hope your all enjoying wonderful weather and you too have something to look forward to this weekend.   Hugs, Sher
