The
Lord has indeed been good to us. In the first few days of posting
our webpage, I have received orders for the homesewns. What a
wonderful blessing. I had to remove the "redirect" feature that
we had set up to customize the domain name. The redirect service
was adding some pop-up ads to the webpage that were of an inappropriate
nature. The direct link for the page is: http://joneshomestead.tripod.com
Since putting up the website, I have been working on things here at home to give me more time for the sewing. What a joy it has been! I am getting things set up in a way that I now have a set time frame for my sewing. This is such a blessing. One of the dreams that my Beloved and I have would be for him to be able to be home more. It is my hope that through my homesewns and homesteading, we can find a way that he can be home more and still be able to work a job that provides for our needs. Gardening and canning the produce, raising our own eggs and meat, these things all help in lowering our monthly expenses. As does the fact that we do not believe in using credit cards. It may take longer to save up and buy something, but we are able to do so. Having to save up for the things we need also is a great tool for helping us to know if it is something that we "really" need or not. If you really need it, the waiting period to save up the money won't bother you. If it is strictly a "want" instead of a "need" you typically are not as disciplined about saving the money. Abbie is growing so much. It is amazing to see the new development that takes place each week....sometimes overnight. She is pulling herself up to stand now. It was fun to watch the first few times. She would get into a standing position, then cry. Once she realised that she could get back down again, she stopped crying. ![]() Our dog, Fawn, is getting closer to having her first litter of puppies. We expect her to have them about the 20th. Once she has them, I will be bringing her and the puppies into the house. We have a large cage-type kennel that I am setting up in the kitchen for her puppies. It will be abit interesting to have a house full of puppies over the winter. I am looking forward to it though. I am hoping to get pictures of them being born. They will be the first of our animals to have babies since we got off the road. Leave a Comment { Last Page } { Page 122 of 179 } { Next Page } |
