Where to buy whole wheat berries?
|
I live in the sountheastern part of Indiana and have been on a search for whole wheat berries. The prices seem reasonable on the internet until it comes to shipping. It's over $90-100 just for shipping. I can't afford that. So if you know of any place let me know.

I don't know how far south in Indiana you are but if you could drive up to Shipswana Indiana they have a store there called E and S. They have whole wheat chemical free berries over the summer they were under $30 for 50 lbs. I know its not always possible to make a long drive but if you could get a few hundred pounds for a days run it might be worth it. If your interested let me know and I can get the contact info to confirm price and availability.

Have you checked Urban Housemaker?? They are a home school based family from Denver, I think. I had a friend who bought her berries from them exclusively and they were seminary students on a strict budget....things might be different now, but thought I'd pass this on. I just recently found out there is a guy up here in this area that sells buckets of them twice a year, like a food co-op...if you're interested I could get the info to you. Not sure if he ships, but might be a fun 'field trip'.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.....I'm in NW Indiana....just missed the snowstorm yesterday by about 10 miles! I've added you to my friends list....stop by again soon.
