The Homestead Way of Life

My Inspiration

     My wonderful husband built me a desk for Christmas.  He has watched me working away on the newsletter for months now in a cluttered nook of our bedroom.  He made the desk so that it will fit into the corner that has a window looking out over the homestead.  I have often imagined myself lifting my eyes from the computer to drink in the view of the garden, trees and animals.

     According to my Nelson's Bible Dictionary, the definition of inspiration is, "A technical term for the Holy Spirit's supernatural guidance of those who received special revelation from God as they wrote the books of the bible."  The greek word is theopneustos or God breathed.   When I look on God's beautiful creation all around me, I do feel inspired.  Certainly not on the level of the scriptures!  But, I want to try to share the sense of awe, peace and joy I derive from this homestead life.  And, I do often feel led by the Spirit as I write.

     I look forward to sharing here on Homestead Blogger, too!  Warm greetings to all of my blogging friends from Homeschool Blogger, and welcome to those who are new friends.  I feel as if this is my niche and I truly look forward to sharing the homestead life with you all.

Hello Lisa,
I think that is a great gift. I can just imagine you sitting there writing for you newsletter and looking out over your beautiful home and yard. Humboldt County is beautiful all over and I have always loved going down to your house in southern Humboldt. I look forward to our next Titus 2 meeting and seeing your new work area.
