• Tuesday, January 13, 2009 - Battle For Sanity - Kara M Ferris

The true story of a 17-year-old woman's dark journey to sanity after being diagnosed with a chronic and debilitating illness. From rock bottom, Kara clawed her way back from the brink to become an advocate and role model for others with fibromyalgia.

Battle for Sanity includes words from Kara's family on how fibromyalgia has affected her, their own lives, and how they dealt with it as a family. Its graphic nature and straight forward approach makes it a comfort for others with fibromyalgia, and a guide for their families and loved ones.

Sorry its not a good picture of the cover.

Has anyone read this . Is please share your thoughts.

Blessings

Janette

I enjoy reading your writings, Although I do not have Fibre My. I have gone through bouts of cancer stroke and a lung operation and I didn;t smoke. I have found illness efects the whole family. Everyone wants a cheerfull happy life. One Day at a time and one is always gratefull for the days you can have fun with the family.Thinking of you. Its very cold out here to night. Went out With our Son to-day Wonderfull scenery white snow and sreams starting to flow with dark blue water against the white snow.

I will have to offer this book to my mom to read and I would like to read it myself as my mother has this disease. Lately she is having more bad days than good. It is very sad at times and I feel so helpless. My mom lives 12 hours away and I don't get to see her much but we do talk on the phone and such. Thank you for this post.
