Wow, it's been a while since I've posted. I'm very sorry. It's been crazy in my life the last few weeks.

Our weather has been up and down. A couple nice (30's to low 40's) days, bitter below zero, snow, sunshine - ahhhhh, it's that time of year. Spring is around the corner and I for one can't wait.  I started a couple tomato plants (yellow pear tomatoes) just to "scratch my itch" . I'll begin everything else my next weekend off in a couple weeks. Sure can't wait for fresh produce that's for sure.

I was fighting a stomach bug the last week and a half. Last Friday it caught up with me and I was sick all weekend. I didn't work Friday night but on Saturday I fell asleep around 2pm and didn't wake up until a little after 10pm. A little late to call in  so I gutted it out. Sunday night was order night and only 3 of us can order - of course the other two were gone for the weekend so again I gutted it out. I slept all day Monday.

Yesterday I was planning on doing nothing but a couple loads of laundry. Weeeeeellllll...... After the second load I went to switch them out and found a good 3 inches of sewer back up in my basement. Spent all day cleaning that mess. Good thing I had a wet vac and a couple hefty buckets. That was a lot of stair climbing.

I also baked oatmeal raisin cookies yesterday. I was so hungry for them. Thank you Crystal Miller for sharing your recipe for those. I cut the recipe in half and get the perfect amount. They are so good. Dinner was cottage cheese and Ritz crackers and some grapes. Had venison barley soup for lunch.

Today after I get up I'll check the basement, vacuum , and clean the bathroom.  Not sure what I'll fix for dinner. Hmmmmm. I've some veggie burgers in the freezer, maybe one of those, I could take out a couple ears of corn from the freezer and steam them, and bake a sweet spud. Yup, that actually sounds good.

I'm off this weekend and will be making a dump run, scrubbing the basement with a mild bleach solution, cleaning carpets, making bread, granola and chilli - oh, and some cornbread. Church on Sunday and Monday I'll wax the floors at church. Whew. I'm exhausted.
