TGIF January 4th 2008

Ok, show of hands, how many are still writting "2007"??? LOL I don't know how many times this week I've done it here at work. My mother will write the current year on several checks just so she get's acclimated to the new numbers LOL.

Well, so far so good on my cleaning calander. I did have to deviate a little but I built in some "give room" in case that happened. My bacement has never looked so good!! LOL. Next month I'll hopefully finish the tile. Next week it's my bedroom. I've divided it to do a little each day. It's helping as I don't feel so overwelmed and I still have scheduled in time for day to day things like dishes and working out at the YMCA. Crossing my fingers the positive attitude continues.

I took down my holiday decorations Wedbesdat. I was going to wait until the weekend but the tree wasn't safe anymore so figured I'd just do it all so everything get's packed together. I'm thrilled to put the stuff up, but by the time it's time to take them down, I'm ready for that also. My cookies and treats are long gone. What wasn't eaten Christmas Day was taken to work and my Grandparent's party. It'll be good to bake "regular" cookies again. I've a hankerin for oatmeal raisin cookies.

No word from my daughter. Sigh....... I know, patience is a vertue but still. My friends and Pastor are praying and that in itself has given me relief. I wish my daughter would have continued on her spiritual journey but peer pressure got the best of her. She said two days before Confirmation that religion is "crap" and she wanted no part of any of it. I wanted to cry and Pastor was flabergasted. Didn't know what to say as he'd never not confirmed anyone before. First in his 35 years of being a pastor. I felt bad for him and embarrased as I had to call folks and tell them she chose not to be confirmed and there would be no celebration. It was very hard to go to church that Sunday. I couldn't bring myself to go to the confirmation service but did go to the early service. Held my head high and prayed real hard.

*raising hand* I am guilty. I wrote a check last night and didn't even think about writing 2007 on it until just now reading your blog. LOL
