Thankful Thursday

I've been impressed with everyone's Thankful Thursday enteries and after the rough week I've had, thought it'd be a good idea to try. I don't know the "rules" but here are my top 10 things I'm thankful for:

1)  My faith in God - I'd have been lost for sure without it.

2)  Having a roof over my head

3)  Having food for my table no matter how meager sometimes - knowing how to can and dehydrate!!

4)  My two jobs - without either I wouldn't have numbers 1 &2

5)  The knowledge and resources I have to help get through the financially hard times - how to be even more frugal, stocking up on things when I'm able, knowing what I need vs what I want, ect.

6)  My health - having diabetes is a pain but so far I've been able to manage it without too many       problems.

7)  My insurance which covers my diabetes meds and supplies!! Man, I'd go broke without it.

8)  The support of friends and family - esp my church family.

9)  Taffy, my chocolate lab / golden retriever mix. She keeps me going and is always there with love. I'd be so lonely without her. (She's all curled up next to me on my bed just a snoring away LOL)

and finially number 10)  Hope - without hope, I'd give up. Hope keeps me going no matter how bad it gets. Hope is the light that brightens a room.

I know, nothing new here I'm sure but not bad for my first go at it LOL. I am truely greatful for all of God's gifts and I think that taking time to reflect and remind myself of these gifts is a wonderful idea and will keep me grounded.
