Frosty Day !!

Good Frosty Monday everyone. Started out -6 this morning and I believe now it's a whopping 5 above LOL. The sun is shinning tho so all in all it's a beautiful day. This morning as I was bundled up and sitting outside with Taffy an my coffee, I couldn't help but wonder at the beauty and quiet of my 5:30am venture.  The trees were still glittering in the moonlight and the stars were shinning brightly for my viewing pleasure. If you ignore all the other houses, it was in fact quite serene.

Am half done with the laundry. I kept finding more every time I folded and emptied a basket. Isn't that the way it goes?? LOL I've also been dusting and washing inside windows and mirrors so I can put up the window clings.

Our tree is up and in it's permanant corner. After a lunch of Taco Soup I'll put the lights on and this evening with the background sounds of It's a Wonderful Life I'll decorate.  Nothing fancy, I'm not one for all the glitz and glitter. Just simple, mostly homemade ornaments with the exception of those given to us. I remember one year using bailing twine for garland LOL. It turned out as one of the prettiest trees I've ever had.

The dinning room is all decorated and looks great. Here again, just simple mostly homemade ornaments and decorations.  Ever wonder what to do with those extra pre-decorated shirt boxes?? Take some of that putty tac (found in by the tapes in the office supply), warm it up and take a small bit and use it to stick those pretty box tops on the wall for decorations. I so wish I could take pictures to show you how nice it looks. I was pleasantly suprised.

Next week is baking week and I'll share some family recipes with you. You can easily substitute low fat items, whole wheat and other sweeteners to conform to what your family uses. I can't wait!!! Monday after I get up I'll mix up the refrigerated doughs then spend the week baking up a storm!

Well, my soup is done and Taffy want's in. I'll bid you all a wonderful Monday.
