Good frosty morning everyone! It's a whopping 9 degrees right now. Might hit 15 today. We got about a half inch of snow last night. The worst of the storm was way south of us. I'm hearing on the news that IL really got pounded. Thought's for all in that area!

I'm on my second load of laundry. Have another busy day planned. It's begining to come together slow but sure and "begining to look a lot like Christmas." I'm hoping to get to Kohl's and pick up some candles for my SILs. My mother called me yesterday and told me they have the big soy ones on sale for 3.99. Can't beat that price! They are very nice smelling, burn clean and last a long time. I'll tuck one in each "goody box".  I'm hoping to find something for my baby niece too. They have awsome sales so only buy things from there when they are on sale. The cloths seem to be well made and very durable. My niece is crawling now which puts quite the wear and tear on the pants LOL.

I ended up taking my niece to my nephew's hockey game last night. They lost and he didn't get to play {{{Nick}}} The family doesn't understand that a freshman on a varsity is low man although there are a couple others that are freshman and get ample playing time. He'll get his turn - of that I'm confident. I understand the frustration and secretly feel that high school sports have all become about the "big W" and not about the kids having fun and learning. The "A" string wasn't doing all that well (they lost 7-2) and quite frankly I'd have pulled the bunch and put in the second string just to see what they could do. If nothing else start rotating the stronger players with the weaker ones. Ahhh, what do I know? I'm just a very biased Aunt who loves her nieces and nephew and will support their endevors.

Dinner tonite?  Hmmmmm, There's left over hot dish but I may have that for lunch. I've some salmon in the freezer so maybe I'll take that out and grill it. Some steamed green beans and grilled spuds should round the meal nicely.  I'll open a jar of pears for desert. There, that's settled LOL.

Well, I'd better get to getting. Have a wonderful warm day everyone. Sending those warm fuzzies!

Michele
