Happy last day of November. Whew, I can't believe that in 31 days 2007 will be but a memory.  Lots of ups and downs this past year. Uff da! The new year will be a year full of new journeys for me as my DD hopefully graduates from High School and begins a new chapter in her life. My house will go on the market this summer and I can't help but feel anxious with the housing market as it is. I will be moving to a new town in a new house - how crazy is that?? I will be closer to work tho - a huge savings on gas and the truck wear and tear. The thought of starting over is a bit overwhelming tho. I've a garden plot - ok, several small plots - already started, my pantry area in the bacement is set to my liking, so many things but I truely believe that it's for the best. I can no longer afford to live in this house. May God guide me to the perfect living quarters and guide me as I begin this new chapter in my life.

I don't know what made me think of those things now but there are my thoughts.

Well, the sun is shining again leading that false comfort of warmth outside. It's a whopping 4 degrees and windy which drives the chill factor below zero. I can't complain. In Minnestoa it's well below zero for a high and I do believe they are getting the snow now that we are expecting this weekend. Can hardly wait - I say that with MUCH sarcasm LOL. It's suppose to snow a lot tomorrow then around 10pm change to freezing drizzle - of course that's the time I leave for my 25 mile drive to work. See why I'm looking forward to moving?? I should be use to it by now but every winter it gets older and older. I don't mind driving at very slow speeds but the other folks on the road seem to believe that they can go the speed limit or faster no matter the weather.

I've just put in my third load of laundry. At this rate I'll be able to climb to the top of the pile without the additional oxygen by noon LOL. I've a chiropractor appt. at 1030, need to stop at the bank, go to the pet store and get kibble and treats, and pick up coffee at the grocery.  Then it'll be time for a nice hot cup of ginger tea and curl up to read a good book or watch a Christmas movie to get me in the mood. My daughter stayed home with a nasty headache today so I'm putting off the vacuuming until this afternoon. Then I'll bring up the "fake" tree for the dinning room and start that.

My homemade Christmas presents are coming slowly but sure. The quilt for my niece is taking shape - a VERY simple nine square in pastel colors. I had some old scrubs and found some old cord pants of my daughters that I cut up. I was fortunate to find some shirts and things to use at the thrift shop - not new yet I purposely chose things that wouldn't last long if worn. I got them VERY cheap too. Well worth the effort. My nephew still presents a challenge as his tastes of everything are quite expensive. He's very particular and it drives me crazy.  My 13yo niece is a bit easier but not much. She said she'd like a quilt in the school colors with the mascot on it but she has a queen bed and my sewing skills wouldn't even begin to tackle such a project. She's not the girly girl type so will really have to put my thinking cap on for her. The two youngest - ages 2 and 10 months are much easier. The two year old I decided to make barbie furniture using a plastic canvas pattern I used for my daughter. A bit of work but something I can work on with confidence.

Tonia at  Simple Life Mom posted a wonderful recipe for taco seasoning mix and a taco soup recipe that is on the stove right now simmering. It smells wonderful and the taste test I just did....... well, let's just say it'll be a treat. When I go to the store I'll pick up some corn tortillas to either toast or slice thin to use as noodles just before serving. That'll make a nice compliment. Can't wait for dinner tonite. Hmmmmmm an instant thought - cornbread would go nicely too. Man, I hate it when that happens - makes my head hurt. I may just have to do both LOL. My blood sugars wouldn't like it tho.

Well, I'd best be getting on with the next laundry load. Have a wonderful warm day everyone. Thawing out those frozen fuzzies, toasting them and sending them out to everyone.

Michele
