Good early Sunday evening everyone. I'm babysitting my nieces while my DB and DSIL are at the oldest niece's hockey game. I offered as I don't get to spend a whole lot of time with them.

Made lefse yesterday but wasn't feeling well. I pretty much layed around from noon on. Uff da.  For those of you who don't know, Lefse is a potato based dough rolled very thin and cooked on a lefse iron. The spuds are mashed plain then carefully measured and combined a certain amount of potatoes to a certain amount of butter and heavy whipping cream (not calorie friendly LOL). The spuds are covered with a towel and left overnight at a cool room temp. They are again measured out to a measured amount of flour, kneaded well and again measured into 1/3 cups and rolled into balls. Then rolled into a 12in circle, carefully lifted with a flat "stick" and placed on a special lefse iron. Putzy but tasty. They are esp. good hot off the iron, spread with butter and sprinkled with sugar. I also like them "burrito" style with scrambled eggs and cheese.

Feeling better today. Have had snow off and on all weekend. It really came down last night in heavy fluffy stuff but this morning it had warmed up so much it was already gone at 0500 when I got up.

Went to church this morning, did a little shopping for the week, took down the halloween deco's and then came over here. Warmed up some Broccoli Cheese soup my mother sent down for supper.

Well, gotta go chase a "naked tushy". LOL. Love and Fuzzies!!

Ain't it grand for a holiday of cooking? Makes ya feel better about running the oven so much! I'm new on here and I've added you to my friends list. Stop by and visit sometime. BTW, we're getting light snow here today. Just sets the mood!

The lefse sounds good-at first I thought it was a spelling error. LOL
Glad you're feeling better. It's fun chasing naked tushies, isn't it? My 3 yr old still loves streaking that way thru the house. Holly
