Happy Halloween!! 31 Oct 07

 Hi all and Happy Halloween to all. Had a very nice weekend - the weather was not at all as was expected. It was so much nicer. Don't you love it when that happens?? Did get quite a bit accomplished. Yesterday it was almost 70 - almost unheard of in these parts in late October. Today is much different. Very windy with highs in the 40's to low 50's. They are saying chance of rain possibly changing to flurries. YUCK! Sigh, I guess, it is that time of year.

Made some baked fish and had some German Potato Salad - my favorite - for dinner last night. I managed to get most of the weekend's laundry done Monday. I was suppose to work Monday night but my night shift partner needed Thursday off so offered to work Monday for me if I picked up her Thursday.. What do ya do?? Works out - a four day weekend for a four day weekend. Sounded good at the time LOL.

I made some chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies last evening and go figure, my daughter called from my parents (she was staying over) saying she needed cookies for school today - by second hour no less. Well, needless to day I've only a dozen or so in total left now. Sigh.......

Tonight I'm off. I get my flu-shot this morning. Not that I want to  but they tend to frown on not getting one working where I work and having diabetes. Not to mention the fact they are free for employees. Still need to carve the pumpkins then roast the seeds - my plan is to cut the tops and get the seeds and let my daughter and her friend carve the faces. They work the haunted house from 5:30pm to 10pm. Trick or Treat is from 4pm to 7pm. I'm handing out Rice Krispy Treats I picked up at Sam's. My bathroom needs a good scrubbing today too. If anyone reads this, how do you get dog barf (sorry) stain out of carpet?? My poor dog threw up yesterday and while I cleaned it up right away and pre treated it before bringing out the carpet cleaner it didn't all come out. There is a faint stain in the carpet  Poor Taffy.... I felt bad she didn't feel well but was frustrated I couldn't get that spot out! She did feel better as the day went on.
