[image] Good Monday morning everyone. Had a very nice suprise waiting for me when I logged in. Not only did I have 2 comments (I know, it's the little things in life) but also recieved a message from Jocelyn saying she included my "Fall" post in The 17th Homesteading Carnival!  How cool is that? It's a first for me and I'm honored she'd include me. Thank you so much Jocelyn! Please stop by and check it out. She did a wonderful job with the Carnival. Well, it's Monday which means laundry day. Hopefully the day will be as beautiful as yesterday and I can hang the cloths outside. I have yet to make that chicken soup so will have to make it today. I'm out of bread as well so will mix up a loaf before I go to bed this morning. It should be nicely raised when I get up later. I'm thinking of deviating from my initial plan of cleaning the bathroom to doing outside work (if it's nice) this afternoon. I'll mow the leaves to mulch the yard, have a few Taffy holes to fill, will clean out the dead stuff out of the flower and veggie gardens and work that up a bit. I'm also planning out my veggies for next year. I'm still planting even tho the house will be for sale. Never know if it'll sell right away or not and I'd rather be safe than sorry.  There's also some sumac I need to clear out in the back.

As I mentioned, it was a beautiful day yesterday. Low 70's and sunny. Perfect in my book. I kept the day of rest and put my lawn chair out and sat in it most all afternoon drinking tea and coffee and reading my Farm and Ranch. I think it was then I realized I needed to do some work out there LOL.  Anyway, Taffy and I just sat out and enjoyed waving to the neighbors. We did walk down the block and back but that was about it. Dinner was simple - Noodles and sauce - thank goodness I thought to put up some half pints of sauce since I was alone tonite. I did toss in some extra mushrooms and onions as I like my sauce extra chunky.

I'm getting low on granola again so that will be on my baking list as well as oatmeal cookies. I love oatmeal raisin cookies! Crystal Miller has the best recipe - my doctor and our EMT's even gobble them down.

Well, I'm off.... oh, and I'm on vacation again lol. I can't believe I didn't realize how much I had as I need to use it before the new year. Jocelyn, thank you again so much. You've made my day.

Have a great day everyone!

Michele
