#morning# Good early morning everyone.  Hope all are well and are remaining cool. It's been soooo hot and muggy here the last few days. Had a nasty storm blow thru Thursday evening. 60 mph winds knocking trees down all over. Fortunately mine survived. Yesterday was less muggy. Today and probably tomorrow will be "comfortable" but Monday thru Wednesday are to be in the 90's and muggy / sticky / icky! Uff da! I'm thinking basement work those days.   #hot#

I leave Friday for Diabetes Camp.  Am looking forward to it so much. Will be gone a week. DD will go to my Aunt and Uncle' - they live 2 1/2 hours from my house and 45 min or so from the camp. Their daughter is my daughter's age and is such a nice, christian girl. Good influence for my child. They will take her to Church with them Sunday - first time my child will set foot in a church in 3-4 years.   Not for my lack of trying mind you, she just won't go. Anyway, I've arranged for Taffy to go to a very nice "doggy hotel". She boarded there last year and did well. I only worry because she doesn't eat when she's away. Poor baby. I took her Thursday morning to get her boarder vaccine. We should be good to go for her. #dog#

My garden is doing fine. Slow, but fine. Been eating yellow pear tomatoes - YUMMY!! My favorite kind. This week the sweet corn should be at it's peak so will have to pick some up to can. Beans are ready in some areas, and not in others. Can't wait for fresh baby spuds and pumpkin. #garden# Mmmmm, pumpkin butter sounds so good right now. I can almost smell it and taste it.

Since we are leaving Friday, I'm not doing any heavy shopping. We had milk 2 half gallons for $3 so picked up a couple. The date was 09 Aug 07 so they are good. Tossed one in the freezer and the other in the fridge. They also had boneless, skinless chicken breast (organic) for $2.99/lb. That's cheap around here. I picked up a couple pkgs and tossed them in the freezer for now.

Have been swimming #swim#  and working around the house. Yesterday I finally got the dining room cleaned. Now I just have to finish pulling down the pieces of wallpaper that DD and her friend painted over last fall. Then I'll "paste" it and paint a nice shade of sage. I'll need to paint the trim and a door, the ceiling, re-glaze the windows, and refinish the wood floor. Then that room will be done. Next up, the living room. Uff da. Seems never ending sometimes LOL.

I did numerous loads of laundry the last couple days. #laundry#  Another seemingly never ending chore. Oh, one nice thing about camp, they have a washer and dryer and cloths line there so on Thursday I can do laundry and pack up nice clean cloths. One less thing to do when I get home - weeeeellllll, there will be my daughter's laundry.

Well, need to do some chores. I hope everyone has a great day and stays cool.

Michele
