Well, I happened to be reading The Suburban Homesteader and Joanne tagged whomever read her blogg so guess "I'm it". Here goes nothing:
8 things people may not know about me.....
1. I work 2 jobs. (3 if you count being a single mom doing her best!) I'm an ER Technician in our small hospital and I'm our church's custodian.
2.  I LOVE camping! I tent camp but am looking at used pop up campers. I've invested in a nice cot in the meantime. My "old" body can't seem to tolerate the ground anymore LOL.
3. I love to paint ceramic ornaments and christmas villages.
4. I went thru one year nursing courses. I'd like to say I finished but working a full time job (11pm - 7am), a part time job and being a Mom with very limited support system from family, and my daughter's "issues", I decided it was best for my daughter if I put school on hold until her "issues" were resolved. Needless to say, there are still issues but she hopefully graduates this next year and I can once again attempt getting my RN.
5.  I can't sew a stitch to save my soul LOL. I try, but it's not very pretty. I have a hard time patching simple holes.
6.  I love to fish whether I catch anything or not. They don't even have to be biting. I'd sit all day in the same spot if it were quiet and shady.
7. On my days off I Love to get up early (0500) and sit outside on my front steps with the dog and drink coffee and meditate. Winter, spring summer or fall - ok, esp fall.  
8.  Hmmmmm, almost done. I went to State my senior year of high school for Track and Field. I tossed the Shot Put. I placed 4th in the Class A section. Pretty increadible feat that I'll always be proud of.
Sorry if it's not as interesting as others, but then again, I suppose I could have done worse. Thanks for letting me play Joanne.

We love to camp also! We like the "rough it" tenting style....though my older bones have begun to stiffen up on the hard ground, lol. It might be time for a foam bedroll!
We are actually going camping to the National Forest this weekend...I hope to post some pics.

I love reading these 'tag' thingies. You learn so much about a person by their just telling you 8 things. We have a couple in common - early risers and fishing without catching. And how cool is your shot put story!
