Had a great time at my Dad's side of the family renunion this weekend. I had made a lemon pie mostly as a joke for the pie contest but the judges liked it so much it took grand prize. LOL, you must understand, I can't make a pretty crust to save my soul. This crust had more patches than a patch work quilt!! LOL. My great aunt tried from the time I was 7 to teach me to make the perfect crust. She even wrote down her prize crust recipe for me and said " This is so easy, Any fool can make this crust". Well, I looked up to heaven Saturday and told her "You picked the wrong fool to entrust with this recipe!" She must have been rolling with laughter! My bread - n - butter pickles won to. What a suprise!!! We laughed and just had a great time. Horse shoes, lots of wonderful food, a nice bon fire, margauritas (YUMMY!!), and great weather. Had fun camping, my niece (the 8yo)stayed with us Sat night. She had a ball. My DD had fun too once she warmed up to folks. My second or is it third cousin's DD had her sleep in her tent which was nice. My Aunt and Uncle offered to take DD the week I'm at Diabetes Camp. They live 2 1/2 hours away but only a half hour/ 45min from camp. That will be so nice for her to get away from negativity as my Aunt and Uncle are good Christian folk with many of the same beliefs as me. She's actually looking forward to it.

Am off today but back the rest of the week. That's what I get for taking a couple extra days off over my weekend to work. Switching and creating an ugly schedule for myself but it was so worth it!
