Good morning everyone. Hope all had a wonderful Mother's Day. After a very busy Thursday night, Friday I took a brief nap, went to the chiropractor, washed some dishes then pretty much collapsed in bed for the night. Saturday I was up with the birds, took Taffy for a walk, did up two loads of laundry, had breakfast of yogurt and cerial, called my niece and took her to the flower shop with me to pick out plants for my mother. Was she fun!! She's almost 9 and knows how to speak her mind LOL. We spent the first hour to hour and a half walking around just looking. Then we spent another hour picking out our plants. She was so cute, looking for something that attracts butterflies, smelling everything, feeling the petals for the "softest" ones. She listened as I explained the difference between annuals and perenials and together we looked at the tags to see where it grows best and what it is. I really enjoyed myself.
Sunday, Mother's Day - I went to church, Pastor had a very nice sermon although it's almost a year now that his own Mother entered the church triumphant. It was a hard day for him. After church, I took Taffy for a nice walk. She did well and we did almost a half mile total. Her leg hardly bothered her which was a good thing. I read a couple Countryside and Backwoods Home that I haven't loked at in a while. Pretty much my day. We were blessed with a nice thundershower late afternoon. Yesterday I planted the plants I bought for my garden. and did about 8 loads of laundry. Where in the world does it come from. It was 84 and very muggy. Had quite the lightening show last night along with the wind and thunder - it rained pretty hard for a couple hours.Poor Taffy, she's severely afraid of storms and crawled under my covers whining and nuzzeling as close to me as she could get. Poor baby.
Today I need to sleep,. I've been quite loopy all night. We just poked my finger and my blood sugar was only 149. Was expecting a bit higher. I've a chiropractor apt at 1400 (oops, sorry, that's 2pm) and need to scrub out the bathroom. I've a class tonite at 1800 (6pm) provided by my chiropractor. runs until 1900.
My maple trees are all leafed out and are providing wonderful shade keeping my house cool. The lilac bushes are blooming providing a wonderful natural perfume that simply permiates the yard and wofts inside the house. Combined with the cedar mulch, my yard and house has an array of wonderful smells. My flower gardens are looking good and the veggies are about ready to put in the ground. My dad just tilled the garden on Sunday so any day now I can go out there and plant.
Well, everyone have a wonderful day. Sending those Fuzzies!!
