Good Sunday morning everyone. Well, our rain was short lived. The closer to home I got this morning, the lighter it was coming down. I think it stopped around 0830.  Don't get me wrong, I'm thanking God for what we did get but we need a solid week of slow steady rain to raise the levels.

I went to my neice's second birthday party this evening for cake, icecream and some solid laughter. She's soooo funny. Had a nice time, enjoyed all of my neices and my nephew. I thank God daily for my family and that we are as close as we are. I grew up knowing my cousins (and I have a ton), aunts, uncles, second cousins, ect.... My brothers (I have 2 younger) and I try to visit each other as much as possible although each of us has a super busy schedule. It's nice when we can all get together. We make sure we see each other on holidays - usually at the folks. Yet another of God's wonderful blessings.

I'm hoping to get out of work this morning in time to make it to church. Other than that, play it by ear. There's a few dishes to be done but for a change, not too bad. My daughter's been working from 2pm to 10:30pm every night so she's not been around to create a mess. I'll replant those tomato plants then I'm thinking a nice sleep then spend some time reading and working on my cookbooks. I don't know if I mentioned it or not but I'm taking the "thousand and one" magazines I have and "scrappnig" the recipes I have made and that are good. I must confess, not only do I have the magazines, there's also the recipes I've found off the internet - it's too embarasing to admit how many I have although since I've changed my eating habits, a lot of them can go or will need to be revised. It's a fun project. I'm using soup can lables, magazine pictures, napkins, family photo's, ect.... I've even used wallpaper samples and paint chips on the pages.
