Good morning everyone!! Hope all are well and spring chores are coming along. I know I'll be making a trip to the Good Will and the dump real soon!!! Actually that's a good thing. The more I can get out of my house, the better. My daughter has been working on cleaning her room. It's really bad. It needs to be cleaned up before she can go to Prom next month and believe me, it'll take that long - YUCK!
Nicole went to a friend's house for brunch this morning. I made a half batch of the Cinnamon biscuits that Crystal has on her blogg. I snitched one and they turned out good. Didn't fluff as high but I'm afraid I may have worked them too much. They still tasted good!! For supper I made pizza - again, the crust wasn't the greatest but it was hurried and I don't think I let the dough raise long enough nor pre-bake long enough. Sigh..... guess it was one of those days. They happen every once in a while. I need to make cookies but am afraid they won't turn out LOL.
Started some more tomato seeds. The pear tomatoes are really growing. I did some slicers today. I went to start my paste tomatoes and the pouch was empty Oh well, as I said, I don't know how long those seeds have been down there. At least 5 years.
Took my dog to the Vet this morning for xrays and nail clipping. Fortunately he doesn't feel there is an ACL tear - at least a complete one anyway. There is arthritis so we'll treat that and give her 6 weeks of rest meaning no running, no jumping, just short walks on a leash on fairly level ground. Should be interesting. Poor baby. I wish the weather was a little warmer because swimming would be good for her.
Today I need to change my sheets, dust and straighten my room. Maybe get a couple loads of laundry done too. That's probably all I'll have time for as I'm working 7pm to 7am tonite. I'd almost forgotten. I think for dinner I'll either open a jar of soup (which my daughter will groan over) or a jar of chicken and make chicken stir fry. Hmmmmmm Guess that depends how tired I am.
Cold and windy here. They are getting snow a bit south of us but we are suppose to get another couple inches within the next couple days. Sigh..... I know, patience is a vertue. Just makes it tough looking out the window seeing all the work waiting for nicer weather. It's no fun triming trees, bushes and trying to rake in the cold (low 20's and colder) and wind. Amazingly enough, the trees are begining to bud which does help my anxiety a bit. Have tons of Robins and other "spring critters" are poppin out too. That gives me hope that soon, soon the air will warm and winter will go into it's hibernation mode - with the occasional peeks and brutal reminders thru June of course.
This weekend is already planned out and it's only Wednesday! Friday after work I'll need to go clean church. Saturday I'll be working in the bacement. I'll be making Crock Pot BBQ and will can the leftovers. I also am very low on spaghetti sauce so will make a batch of that as well. I have a "date" for dinner and a movie with my 13 yo niece. It's her birthday present from January - she always waits until just the right movie comes out before turning in her certificate for the year. I don't mind, she's such a joy to take. She enjoys herself every time - this will be the first time for the dinner part. I figure 13 is special so why not add a bit to the evening? I'm sure it won't be long and she'll decide she doesn't want to hang with her Aunt so I'll embrace these times as much as I'm able. Her sister will be 9 in July. She loves those movie certificates too. The youngest will be 2 in May so I"ll have a while to wait for her.
Well, everyone, I hope you have a wonderful and productive day. Stay safe and healthy.
Love and Fuzzies!!!
Michele

I sympathize with your cooking misadventures. There have been days when everything goes great, and then...days that don't!
Tomorrow is a new day; hope all goes well then.
