Hello everyone! Had a nice Easter day. My brother's, nieces and nephew, SILs and own daughter and parents plus my aunt and cousin made for a very full house. Lots of activity but so much fun! Had ham, mashed spuds, fruit salad, both white and whole wheat rolls (guess which ones I brought LOL), cinnamon biscuits (Crystal, if you ever see this, they are a HUGE hit!!), pickles, olives, beans, and corn. I had to take my daughter to work before the cake but that's ok. I ate a bit too many spuds and my blood sugar spiked a bit high and stayed up there most of the day. Sigh...... That's what happens when you indulge. Anyway, I got to spoil my 2yo niece, my 1 month old niece, 8yo niece and made a movie date with the 13yo niece. It was my nephew's 15th birthday so of course had to give him a hard time. He's a typical teen boy who's pant's don't seem to stay up so I picked him up a pair of suspenders!! What fun that was. Made him put them on too. Everyone had a good chuckle. I did also give him a walmart gift card but the 'spenders made the day.
That was pretty much it as after I took my daughter to work, I went home, did some pet chores then went to bed around 3pm. I didn't want to get up at 10pm to get ready! Good thing I'm off today.
Today is garbage day so as soon as I get home have to curb the can along with the recycles. After my morning chores I'll take a nap til about noon then start some laundry. Dinner will be leftovers from yesterday.
Tuesday I'll go clean the upstairs at church, take the dog to the vet, finish the laundry, make granola and dog biscuits. Nicole is off school all week for spring break but because of her probation is very limited for free time. She works a few hours at the cinema which will give her something to do anyway. She needs to finish her application for the alternative education program for next year and clean her room. It's nasty up there! The alternative ed program is designed for students who are credit deficient and are in jeapordy of not graduating on time. Well, she'll be a senior next year and is very credit deficient. She'll have to work very hard in order to graduate and this program is pretty much her only chance to graduate on time. I'll be crossing my fingers for sure!
It's only suppose to be in the low 30's with snow flurries all week so think I'll hold off on the yard work a bit longer. I'm thinking soup will be in order for supper Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm working 7pm to 7am Wednesday. those 12 hour shifts are murder. Especially when I've so much to do otherwise. My tomato plants need to be upgraded to larger pots, broccoli and cauliflower need to be started, garden beds need to be turned and mulch added, uff da, so much to do.
Well, hope everyone has had a wonderful Easter. May you experience nicer weather than we're having and may your spring adventures go smoothly!
Love and Fuzzies!!!
Michele
