Good Sunday morning everyone. Had an absolute beautiful day yesterday. Partly sunny in the low 60's. Just a little snow in the back yard next to the shade of the house. I should have raked this afternoon after I took my daughter to work but decided to take a "me afternoon" and read a book on "green housing". I really enjoyed it and picked up a few ideas. I forget the name at the present but I'll write it down in case any of you are interested. Had BBQ chicken and grilled veggies for dinner with the last of the fresh pineapple/mellon salad I had in the fridge. I'm in need of more fresh fruit. (Uff da, just looked outside and that wind is whipping the flags something fierce!)

Oh, guess I did work on the floor a bit this evening. Loosened up a bunch of gook between the boards on my hardwood floor in the dinning room. It's an old floor - 2 inch pine planks throughout the house. Lots of gaps that collect gook for lack of a better term. I've thought of filling them with wood putty but am a little leary. I've heard a thick sawdust / wood glue paste works too. You can sand it and stain it. Will have to check into that.

My tomato plants are doing great. Will get the broccoli, cauliflower and kalahrabi seeds in dirt this week. They took a little longer but did eventually begin sprouting. Have some squash and flower seeds ready to soak as well as cukes and summer squash - oh and the pumpkin. I must get that spare room cleaned out this week too as I'm running out of room on my "catch all" table LOL.

I hope everyone has a great day. Will try to go to church after I get off work this morning. I"m not always the bright eyed person in the pew but I give it my best shot. Pastor is gone to his wife's family member's funeral this weekend but my good friend is leading worship. Should be fun. She's the youth coordinator at our church and went to "Lay School" to enable her to lead worship when pastor is out of town or ill. She's a lot of fun and really spices things up.
