Good Saturday morning all. What beautiful weather we've been having. My front yard is 100% snow free and the back is about 80%. Time to rake I guess. The rush of spring is upon us.  I got the spring cleaning done in both the living room and dinning room, also the bathroom. A chore that is so well worth it. Anyone have luck "taming" sumac??? It's really infected my back yard - I can't seem to keep it in line. I thought I had all the stray roots pulled up but they seem to keep infesting everywhere. HELP!

Saw a Robin yesterday! I was so excited. Now if only that cardinal would show his face. I enjoy watching the birds. The squirels have been going nuts in the feeders - LOL I"ll bet it's because I had some extra peanuts I tossed in the mix. They were some raw ones I got and used "almost all" and thought "there's something I'll be able to use these few for..." Well, I finially tossed them in the bird feed.

Well, short post today, gotta get back to work.  - Ok, I'm back from taking the garbage out and boy does it ever smell good out there. So "springy". Ever notice each season has it's own smell??  My favorite is a toss up. There's now, the "spring smell" and the early summer morning smell. So crisp and fresh. Fall has it's peks too. Early fall has a charm, fresh fallen leaves, dried grass and flowers,.... enough said. Wait too long into the fall and it's more of a decaying plantlifescent. Not exactly unpleasant, yet not as, oh, what's the word I'm looking for???  Hmmmmmm....... Well anyway, just not as enjoyable. Winter I find as a very brisk "freeze you're booger" cleansing smell - at least here in the northwoods. I associate winter with pine and woodsmoke. Around here, the pine smells tend to stand out in the winter - not just at Christmas either. All winter. As long as it's cold and white. I think that's because everything else is frozen LOL. Summer, well summer is hard to describe. Where I spend most of my time - on my Dad's 15 acres, it smells like blueberry bushes and sage. Weird I know. Jackpine almost infest the acres but yet in the summer I don't notice it like in the winter when Taffy and I are there. Even in the blackberry thickets I can smell blueberry bushes and sage. Funny or weird...... That's a HUGE toss up LOL. Anyway, that was my big thought this morning. I"m curious as to what seasonal outdoor smells you notice most. Which are your favorite???

Hope all have a safe and healthy day. Love and Fuzzies!!! See ya all tonite.

Michele
