Here's my recipe - I found it on Bullwinkle.com

3/4 cup hot water or low sodium broth

1/3 cup butter, unsalted

1/2  cup powdered milk

1 tsp salt

1 egg, beaten

3 cups whole wheat flour

In a large bowl pour hot water over butter. Stir in powdered milk, salt adn egg. Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time. Knead a few minutes to form stiff dough. Pat ro roll to 1/2 inch thick. cut into bone shape (or any shape). Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool - They dry quite hard. Makes about 1 1/4 pounds treats at about 30 cents per pound.

I hope you have as good as luck as I have. Taffy loves it when I use low sodium beef broth or boil venison off the bones and use that broth. Have a great weekend everyone and I'll see you Monday night!!!

My daughter would just LOVE for me to make our dog some of these treats! She is always wanting to do special things for our little Winn-Dixie. Thanks for the recipe!

Thanks
