Good Morning everyone. Hope all are well and safe.

My day off  Monday was to say the least extreemly stressful and I've gotten little sleep the last couple days. I won't bore you with the details but let's just say my daughter chose the wrong path and made very poor judgment.    Had a nice "chat" with my Pastor yesterday and felt a little better. I talked to his wife on Monday when it all started and she simply listened and prayed. God bless them. I am so fortunate to have such a wonderful Pastor and his wife is such a doll. I feel very blessed to be able to call them friends too.

I was able to get another dinning room wall stripped of wallpaper and loose paint. Only 3 more to go LOL. Slow and steady - that's what's getting it done. I also managed to cut out the sweat squares.

Today's agenda depends on my daughter's situation. There's sleep this morning (God willing), a few dishes to do, believe it or not, one maybe two loads of laundry - yup, that's it ! Taffy is getting low on Milk Bones so I will one day soon need to make some more. I'll look up my recipe and post it just in case anyone is interested. I've got some burger I MUST use so am thinking of making a huge pot of soup and canning the leftovers. I'll need to do it soon tho. Tonite is Church - our Church has a simple soup dinner before service. Someone signs up to "host", we put a basket out and folks donate to cover the cost of the meal. Whatever's left goes into the offering or designated fund of the host's choice. Most folks simply donate the whole basket. Last year our Youth Group hosted the dinners and the proceeds were pre-designated to go to help fund the trip to the National Youth Gathering in Texas last summer. Worked out rather nicely for them as people were quite generous. I enjoy going for the fellowship not to mention we have some awsome soup makers in our congregation. Everyone lines up for my Cheesy Broccoli when my turn comes around but the spots filled up before I had a chance to sign up this year. Oh well. It may very well be for the best anyway.

I'm begining spring cleaning this weekend as I'm off and will have a little time. I'm starting in my room this year mainly because it'll be the easiest LOL. Not much in there to move or clean out. Just rearange and wash. I get to watch my 5 week old niece Saturday. I can't wait.

Those seeds I have soaking are begining to sprout!!!  Yipee!!!! I'll toss in some broccoli and cauliflower seeds next. I know, I know, it's a bit early but in my experience, if I care for them right I have good luck and manage to "extend" my already too short growing season. I've got to finish cleaning out the spare room and that's where I "create" my greenhouse once the seeds have germinated and sprouted a bit. Then I put them in the semi-sunny room and rotate them until it's warm enough outside and safe enough to plant. My grandfather teases me because I can grow veggies and outdoor plants but I couldn't keep an indoor plant such as an ivy or africian violet alive to save my soul. Just don't get it.
