Testing the waters

Hi all. Am new to the whole blogging aspect. I live in an urban setting right now but feel I accomplish a lot of "homesteading" features in my home. I have a large back yard (large for town life) which produces nice veggies, a decent size front yard that is being converted into more garden space. I can everything using my pressure canner and when making jellies and canning fruit, my boiler. Well, let's see if this goes thru. Really looking foreward to meeting everyone and making some new friends. I'm also looking foreward to learning a LOT so in a year or so when I start looking for a new home closer to work, I'll be more comfortable looking for a "true homestead". Thanks for letting me begin a new blog here.
