My Loving Home

I'm keeping my resolution!

Well, I don't really consider it a New Year's Resolution, but I did promise myself that I would get a "head start" on Christmas 2009. I bought two boxes of 75% off Christmas cards, and I've been working on my handmade Christmas presents. mommyneedscoffee asked me about the scarf I've been working on. I finished it yesterday during my little ones' naps, and thought you might like to see it:

Here is a close-up view:

It's crocheted in single, double, and triple crochet stitches, and made from I Love This Yarn and Red Heart Super Saver, both from Hobby Lobby. It washed up very soft and cuddly; it's a gift for my older daughter. Shhhhh! My next projects to complete are two afghans for my youngest sons.

Blessings from my home to yours!

I love the colors of the scarf! It's funny I came across your post - I was JUST thinking of what I could reasonably start on for the next holiday season. This year, I did not crochet, sew, nor even contemplate a stitch :-/
Kudos to you for getting a jump start before the year gets away!!

Very nice. I too am planning on getting a head start. I didn't need cards this year - got enough left over. But I did hit the 75% off sale at Wal-Mart for wrapping paper and bows. Also, I picked up some cookie cans there as well. I've also promised to pick up my crocheting in the next few weeks.
