Prayer Journals

Do you keep a prayer journal? Do you have a place where you can write your prayer requests? I find that I can clarify my thoughts so much better when I put them in writing. I won't say that I am always consistent or regular in keeping my prayer journal, but I am striving toward writing my prayer list more frequently. Some of the areas I regularly petition the Lord about are: my spiritual life; my husband; our children; my homemaking skills; church; friends and family; finances; and our nation.

I would encourage you to begin a prayer journal if you haven't already. It can be as simple as a spiral notebook or as fancy as a designer journal. Let me know if you take this step, and how it is a blessing to you and your prayer life.

I have a book that I hand write in and journal my prayers. I keep it, my bible, a pen and sticky notes all together in one place by a window in my bedroom. I use the sticky notes as book marks in the bible. I also go back to my journal, when prayers are answered. Of course they're not always answered the way I expect so I love making notes of that just to remind myself that God is making these decisions, not me.

I picked up the habit from my grandmother. She spent most of her day in the kitchen. Surprisingly, her prayers were written in the 'notes" section of her old cookbook, along with the answers provided by God.

no I don't have a prayer journal. I do have a journal for everyday thoughts and happenings. I will be using the new journal that I got for my birthday (a couple weeks ago) for it tho, now that I have something to write in it.

It is good to write down prayer requests so that we remember to pray for the people who asked us to. Thank you for the reminder!
