Adding/Removing Friends

Hi All,

I recently went through my friends list, and have removed people who havent blogged since January 1, 2007.  My friends list was getting long and I like to use it sometimes to visit everyone.  If you have blogged recently and were removed, let me know and I will add you back.  I just thought it would simplify things if I removed those who have moved on from HSB.  Just thought I would explain why!

Motherearth is looking for some lunch ideas, so here is a list of what we usually do at our house:

#1 PB&J
#2 Hot Dogs
#3 Cheese Sandwhiches
#4 Grilled Cheese
#5 other cold cuts
#6 Ramen Noodles
#7 Potatoes slices with cheese & baco's
#8 BLT's
#9 leftovers (for me, the children dont usually want it, or there is not enough for everyone)
#10 Tuna Fish
#11 Broiled fish (usually for me)
#12 Burritos - I usually mash up some kidney beans with garlic & onion, cumin & chili powder in my food processor, add to a tortilla, sprinkle with cheese and microwave for 30secs to one minute, add tomatoes & sour cream.
#13 Mini Pizzas (english muffins with sauce and cheese, broil)
#14 Tortillas with spinach, tomatoes & mozerella, bake in toaster oven or under broiler for a few minutes.
#15 Other tortilla wraps, if I have left over steak or lamb, I will place in a tortilla with cheese, heat and add lettuce and tomatoes
#16 Gyros (if I have leftover lamb)
#17 Fried chicken ( the box stuff from the store, or from the hot deli section)
#18 Hoagies (subs, heroes, depends where you are from )
#19 Burger King, Wendy's, McD's
#20 Taco Bell
#21 Local Pizza joint
#22 Homemade Hamburgers & chips or fries
#23 Fried Rice (sometimes I get those boxes from the store with the seasoned packets and just add some leftover chicken or crumble ground beef)
#24 Mac N Cheese (this should be somewhere near the top like 3rd spot)
#25 Quesidillas
Ummmmmm......okay I am running out of ideas!

Taxes

Tax truth

At first I thought this was funny...then
I realized the awful truth of it.
Be sure to read all the way to the end!

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed ..

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries, then
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his butt

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin ,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

Put these words
upon his tomb,
" Taxes drove me to my doom..."

When he's gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

Accounts Receivable Tax
Building Permit Tax
CDL license Tax

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation was the
most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had
the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to
raise the kids.

We have a couple of contests going on here at homesteadblogger (at least two that I know of).  Both are from Leah's (from Hillman Acre) boys.

Her son Kenny is having a giveaway to the 50th commentor (or 35th if he doesn't get more comments soon).  He is giving away a copy of  "Kids Art Work".

His brother Kyle is having a funniest picture contest.  Post your funniest picture by October 26th (dont forget to leave him a comment when you post) and you have a chance at winning a set of 3 devotion books.

Thankful Thursday

We are thankful today for the beautiful weather that we have been having.
A wonderful, relaxing vacation at the New Jersey shore.
Being able to attend my nephew's wedding and seeing almost all of my family.
God is good all the time!

I've moved over to http://maidmyown.livejournal.com/, just in case anyone was wondering.....no special reason other than I like the communities over there, and it was time for a change....

Come and say Hello!
