Our Veteran's Day

We celebrate Veteran's Day at our house. Handsome Hubby has served our nation in the reserves for almost 20 years. He has served in Iraq and just transferred to the National Guard because he wants to help our citizen in their times of need. We are so proud of him.

So each year we have a small party for him. This year we made a flag out of cupcakes. (Pictures will be added soon.)

The girls did a play about how Frances Scott Key was inspired to write the National Anthem. They even sang it for us at the end. Guess the salmon patties I made fogged up the air because Handsome Hubby had "something in his eye" when they were done.

We are thankful for all of the Veterans that have and continue to protect our freedoms. Aside from Handsome Hubby I want to also thank my father and his. His Father (Pappaw) served the in Marine Corps and served 2 tours in Vietnam. My Father (Poppie) served for 20 years in the Navy and served a tour in Vietnam. Then there are a few Uncles who have served. We are thankful for our families military heritage. I will not surprised me at all should MiniMan choose to follow suit. May God bless America!!!
