Good news...bad news...

We have had some of each this week.

Good news......My Mother DOES NOT have cancer!  We had not told many about this but my mother had been told she had stage 2 lung cancer.  When she told me about it she had decided to do nothing for it.  When you spend years working with the elderly and dying it tends to change your view on things.  I respected her choice and had decided not to tell the children about it until it was absolutely needed.  She just got a second opinon and he said there is no cancer.  So does that mean there never was cancer or that there was and now it is gone.  Only the good Lord knows.  Either way it is an answer to my prayers!!!

Bad news... My Grandmother (maternal) does have cancer.  She has been diagnosed with a rare blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma.  It is a cancer of the white (plasma) blood cells.  As a result her bones are very brittle and she has breaks in her spine.  She has decided to get a second opinion before deciding what, if anything, she will do.  I know God is not too big to remove this if it is His will.

Please pray for my family.  Especially my mother.  She lost her job and is having a hard time dealing with that and her mother's illness. ~DC

My heart jumped into my throat when I read about your mom! Praise the Lord! I thought she was still looking quite good for an ill woman, last time I saw her. I had thought she would be looking sick by now.

thats so great about your mom not having cancer! I always loved her... shes so sweet... tell her hi if she remembers me... =)
I am sorry about your grandma! I hope the best for her..
and you take care with the little one your going to have soon! do you know what your having?
