Space Shuttle Discovery
We have liftoff! Space Shuttle Discovery launched less than an hour ago after failed attempts on Saturday and Sunday. Ds1 and I waited until about 50 seconds to go on the countdown clock, then raced out to the backyard (taking ds2 with us). It's incredibly cool to be able to stand in our backyard and watch history happening. Ds1 and I have a tradition of waving to the shuttle and he yells "Bye!" Today he added "Good luck!" Dh joined us after he watched liftoff on tv. It was especially nice to share the launch today as a family. Most of the time the launches are during the week when dh is working.Leave a Comment
