Poor dh

01:33, 2006-Jun-18 .. Posted in Homestead Musings .. 3 comments .. Link

What a way to start off Father's Day!  Dh accidentally knocked a jug of olive oil out of the pantry.  The lid came off and oil spilled all over the floor, the outside of the pantry cabinet, and all over the bottom shelf.  He had no sooner gotten that cleaned up than his grits that he was fixing in the microwave spilled over and made a mess.  Poor guy!

Hopefully the end of his day will be better.  I have navy beans cooking in the crockpot (one of dh's faves and something he requested today) and I'll be making a peach cobbler later, which is also one of his faves.

Oh my, your poor dh! The day has to get better. That would be a chore cleaning up the olive oil!! Your peach cobbler recipes sounds so good, thanks for the recipe.
Hugs, Heather

Oh my, I can relate to this, Last summer we took the kids to Six Flags Amusement park. We were exhausted by the time we got home, and when I went into our panty to get something out of the freezer, the vat of cooking oil in the deep fryer feel off the top of the freezer and drenched me the wall, the inside of the freezer door, shelves, floor EVERYTHING! What a mess.
