Nap time..... finally!

Poor ds2 is finally down for a nap.  Ds1 is good at getting him wound up so he didn't sleep for me earlier.  I did get him to sleep just after lunch and our middle dog went psycho on us and woke him up.  This is a continuing problem with her so I will be glad when dh gets the back porch finished up (hopefully he and I can get the screening up this weekend) and the dogs move out there.  We thought her behavior might be linked to construction noise (the ongoing drone of machinery and such), but she goes nuts and won't stop barking and growling even when there's peace and quiet.  The vet can't find anything wrong with her.  I'm beginning to wonder if she doesn't have a few mental issues.  I truly hate to even think that, but something is definitely not right with her anymore.

This morning I went through our 6 foot tall bookcase and weeded out a few more books.  I have a donation list written up and the books are bagged and ready to be taken to the library next week.  I've decided to donate them to the branch where we're attending the summer programs rather than the branch I normally use.  I have donated things in the past to the latter and it all just sits in a back room for months before any of it shows up on the shelves or in the for sale section.  That bothers me.  I have donated some really great stuff.  I 'think' this other branch acts on donations pretty fast.

Other than that I've been busy getting salad ingredients ready for dinner tonight and putting away groceries.  I write the expiration date boldly on the front or top of containers/cans (or the purchase date if the item has no expiration date listed).  That makes a bit more work for me, but it's so easy to check with just a glance to see what I need and don't need when I check the store sales flyers and ensures that we use items in the appropriate order.  I'm going to take the luxury of exploring some blogs here at HomesteadBlogger for a bit and then go make the pizza dough for tonight's dinner.

Have a wonderful Friday!
