Rainy Sunday

We are getting some much needed rain today compliments of Tropical Storm Alberto - hooray!  Of course I may not be yelling hooray when we get the forecasted heavy rains tomorrow and I hate the thought of dh having to drive in it all day long for work.  Nonetheless, it's a tremendous blessing to our area since we are in a drought.

Thankfully the rains didn't appear until this afternoon.  Late this morning we took ds1 to his first stamp show.  There were more coin dealers than stamp dealers, but he found some treasures nonetheless and let me yell it from the rooftops...... "He got his very first tiger stamp!" and he's definitely a happy camper.  A family in the homeschool stamp club had told us a particular dealer to go see because he likes to see the kids come to buy stamps.  This man was so incredibly nice and we will definitely give him our business in the future as well.

Dh took us to lunch at Sonic (blech! - it wasn't very good) and then to Sears to look at riding mowers.  Ds1 came inside yesterday and informed me "Mommy, the tractor is sick."  LOL  I still don't understand what's wrong, but I do know whatever has happened it is beyond repair which means we now have to purchase a new one.  Ugh!  That's definitely not in our budget, but the yard has to be mowed.  The rain started while we were at Sears so dh went in alone at the next 2 stops.  We'll be doing some more research and comparisons before making our decision, but we have to make a decision soon.

Dinner tonight is breakfast so I have waffles baking right now.  Ds1 is very happy as they are one of his favorite things to eat.
