Astral Lion cross stitch

08:26, 2006-May-20 .. Posted in Crafting .. 4 comments .. Link

I am ashamed to admit that I've had this kit for almost 4 years and never opened it until today.  I purchased it at a Hobby Lobby where we were vacationing for $1 on clearance - yep, $1!  (The original price sticker was $27.95!)

Ds1 is crazy about tigers, lions, cheetahs, jaguars, etc. so I have been telling myself that I really needed to sit down and make this for him.  I started it today and hope to give it to him as a Christmas gift, but he'll see me working on it and I have a feeling he'll beg and talk me out of it before Christmas (if I finish it by then - I haven't done any cross stitch in years and forgot how time consuming it is, or maybe I'm just slow ).

Here's what it looks like - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8203291027&category=34018#ebayphotohosting

I finished one last year that I started (and put away) 30 years ago! So you have a ways to go to beat that! Good luck with it.

Just keep plugging away at it. I know you'll get it done. And I just know, your little man is going to love it.

I have been working on a cross-stitch for about a year. It is a light house - I think I am about half done. But, I just enjoy doing it - it is so relaxing in the evening -
So, hope you will be able to finish when you want - or just enjoy the doing.
