The pond's probably not going to be filled in

Dh is just great at keeping me confused and leading me to believe one thing when in fact he's on a totally different train of thought. The pond situation has fallen victim to just that. 

I was under the impression on Sunday that he intended to fill the pond completely in, hence him telling me he was going to be checking on prices for fill dirt.  Turns out that was not his intention at all.  He just wanted to make the pond smaller.  I've never known just how deep the pond is - as of last night I now know and it will be impossible cost wise for us to rid ourselves of it.  *sigh*  It looks as though it's not going to work out to make the pond smaller either.  Fill dirt prices here are ridiculous thanks to a booming construction industry and we'd have to pay someone to move the dirt around properly to shape the pond into smaller proportions.  

It looks like we'll be gun owners soon and it will be open season on anything that slithers.
