Country Living In My Backyard

Well, we started the day out exercising!  DH even did my walking video with me.  Then we ate a nice breakfast and straightened up the kitchen a bit. 

DH had been wanting to work on the basement so we did that for a while.  It looks a lot better but we still have a long way to go.  I really need to go through some of my "keepsakes" but it is so very hard for me.  Nearly every item we have brings back a memory of some kind, usually sweet of course; especially the children's things.  So I really need to get with it and do a little letting go.

Then we had lunch and I visited with my mom on the phone and then my sister.  I really wish we lived closer to them but I do love where we live now and hope we will be able to stay here for the long run.

Then we finished in the yard and garden.  DH did some weed eating and I worked on cleaning up the garden. 

Now we are relaxing and watching "Murder 101" on the Hallmark Channel.  DH and DS are going to be going to get DS a new bow string and then we will have a nice quiet dinner.  I'm making Chicken and Spaghetti.  YUM!  I love my new recipe.  It was a chicken and noodle crockpot dish that I LOVE TOO but I was out of egg noodles and cream of chicken soup so I replaced it with spaghetti and cream of mushroom soup and then added a little bit of cheese and YUMMY!!!  So now I make it on purpose every now and again.

Well, I'm going to go finish this movie and relax a little more before the boys leave.  Have a wonderful end to your Labor Day  and leave me a note so that I know you were here!
