Well last night I did very well at the grocery store. I went to Weis. Many reading this probably never heard of it. I think it's a PA mostly store, but I think they are in other area's. They have an offer right now if you guy 8 keebler products you get a $10 grocery coupon out of the catalina at the checkout. Well I bought 8 packs of Vienna fingers and had 8 coupons doubled to $1 each. They were $2 a pack, so I paid $8 for the 8 packs of cookies and out came the $10 coupon. Later today, I plan on getting 8 more (I have 20 coupons) this time they will be free since I am putting the $10 back into the cookies, and I have $2 to spare. Then I will get another one for next time. I will end up with 20 packs of cookies for an initial investment of $8 and $6 overage to use on other stuff. I also spotted Pledge starter duster kit for $2.99, I have a bunch and I mean a bunch of $3 coupons!. Well of course I just picked out coupons to use and didn't have my box with me. A couponer should always know, never leave home without your coupon box! SO I am running up there this afternoon to get these buys. Aren't coupons and sales wonderful and extra's like the catalina coupon? Then I will had to Landis and get free lipton rice/noodles and sauce and free ragu again. Really stockpiling these things. I am like a wolf on the hunt when it comes to bargains and shopping!
I finished 2 loads of laundry today and had them folded. By the time Logan and Jaydon came this morning, I had my shower, dusted, beds made, stew in my nesco, 2 cups of tea drank and my toast eaten and they were here about 7:30. Some morning I am so lazy and sit around until Jaydon gets the bus at 7:55. But today I was on top of things.
I plan on making a few loaves of bread later today. I must confess I have a bread bakery I got years ago, to some of you I know that is cheating, but that's ok. I am making just a plain white loaf today. I want to get that in before I leave. I was lucky to get powdered milk at my favorite grocery store "Clemens" before it closed for 25c a box. I scarfed up every box I could, I think I ended up with 7 that were left. This is about all I use it for, so it will last awhile. I haven't tried it in baking can you taste the difference? Some recipes I have call for that, or can you taste it if you make a white sauce??? Just wondering.
That about sums up my day so far. Everyone have a great day.
