How does your garden grow............?

We got our garden tilled. I pulled grass runners out of it today and then threw out some crushed cow chips from the neighbor cattle. One more tilling ought to do it. Our peach and plum trees are starting tiny little buds and I am worried, a bit, about that as it's not even March yet. If we get another freeze...I would just hate to lose the peaches. Maybe our dog, Ruby, will keep the fox out of it this year. He pillaged it a few years back.

Think we will plant lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, sugar peas, zukes, cabbage, carrots, asparagas, spinach, eggplant, cukes, yellow squash, and maybe watermelon. We usually don't get many tomatoes at first, we finally figured out the boy was raiding the tomato plants. If you don't watch him he will eat them green even. He goes after the peas too. Oh well, it's good for him anyways. Already saw rabbit tracks in there today and nothing is planted yet. Maybe Ruby will keep him out too, yea right.

Our wee laddie says he wants a puppy. His got killed about a month back. Willie was turning into a great dog, our son's wrestling buddy, but he just wasn't too smart around the road. He followed his mom, Ruby, and got hit by a truck. We were all pretty sad, it's hard to find a good dog that everyone likes. He was just the right size too. We miss him. Ruby doesn't really like to wrestle. sigh........
