7 Things about me:

1. I love to bake and cook. I would love to work in a bakery or own one someday.. I can bake just about anything. I have an awesome recipe for sugar cookies that I love to bake. I believe that baking and cooking from scratch is the way to go..

2. I love to read. When I was younger if I got in trouble and got send to my room I could stay in there and read all day so for me it was fun to get in trouble even when  it really was not my fault because I could sit and read all day if I wanted...

3. I have 5 wonderful children of my own. I always wanted 8, but stopped at 5. I have 3 boys and 2 daughters therefore it is 3 and 3 in my house.. My boys are Jordin 15, Jacob almost 9, and Jeremiah 6. My girls are Jillian who is 13 and Joslyn who will be 11 this month..

4. I love to write. I also have a way with writing and I enjoy it. When I was younger I used to pretend that I was a radio reporter and would write the newscast, along with stories and such to share with others who might have a rough time in life.

5. I would love to be a public speaker kinda like a motivatoinal speaker. I have always wanted to talk to teens about suicide, teen pregnancy, no sex till marriage and other things. I have always wanted to talk to Women and mothers about abuses we suffer, being the person God intends us to be and whatever else is laid on my heart.

6. I really enjoy sewing and simple crafts even though I do not do it often. I enjoy it and my kids like to do simple things as well.. I love teaching them to do simple crafts... My kids are creative...

7. I love to sing.. I am not really good at it, but I sure do love to sing.. I make a joyful noise unto the Lord, but to others around me well maybe not.. LOL

How about everyone post their fave holiday recipes to share with each other.. I don't care if they are for an edible item or a non edible item. I love recipes and trying new things and my kids love to help so if you could help us by posting some of your faves.. My ex husband called me the other day and we were talking about kids and etc and all of a sudden he says well I have a question to ask of you and your not going to like it. My first response was is it for you or for her???

You see first let me say this. My kids stepmom I don't feel like is very nice to them alot of the time.. She says my 13 year daughter needs to be in special ed and she made her write the alphabet because she wasn't sure she knew it.. What.. I am sorry, but all of MY kids are A or B honor roll kids and if their teachers do not have a problem then what is yours?? She has never had kids of her own and I understand that, but you knew that he had 5 when you married him...

She tends to get upset with Rodney if he has the kids any extra time except his weekends.. Now our parenting plan states that he gets them every other weekend and then every Wednesday for a few hours plus anyother time he might want them that is agreable between the two of us, plue every other week during the summer.. Now Rodney has been getting them his weekends, but he only had them 2 full weeks in the summer because of the situation with her.

Anyway the kids are looking forward to their weekend this weekend and she tells Rodney that he needs to change weekends because she only has 2 days off this week and etc and that if he doesn't change then he and the kids have to stay somewehere else...

Now I normally am very easy going and would trade him in a heartbeat, but I am sick and tired of her trying to keep him from having his time with the kids.. My kids welcome the time with their dad when she is not around and want to go ahead and go with him this weekend..

So long story short.. I told him that the kids wanted to come with him this weekend and that I was not going to trade.. If it was something that he needed becasue of work or something then we would work it out, but hello she knew he had kids and that he needs to spend time with them.. My older kids are upset because they know that their relationship with dad is going down hill because of her and they want to go to their dad's this weekend..

So should I switch or let them go with their dad?? I know that she or my ex MIL will read this and make comments, but really this is about the kids and their relationship with their dad..

I am working on a cookbook for my hubby's oldest daughter who is 19 so if you have any tried and true family faves that you do not mind passing on I would be honored to have them and share them with her. She is going to be living on her own managing a payless shoe store and I believe going to school and she wants to cook more so I told her I would be putting her together a cookbook and sending it to her as a house warming gift.. She moves in about 2 weeks.. LOL So please hury send me recieps or links to your faves.. Thank you so much in advance.. These will also go into the cookbooks I am starting to fill up for my girls and boys when they grow up and get married or out on thier own..

Mars who is tired.

I just remembered I am supposed to take snacks to moms group in the am.. I need something pretty fast and easy that is just a yummo recipe that is not horribly fattening.. I know I know it is breakfast/ brunch time.. LOL There will probably only be 4-6 of us there and so I don't really need a recipe that makes a TON.. I have many things so just start tossing ideas and recipes my way.. I love recipes anyway and I am looking for new recipes and ideas of things to make.. I am tired of the same old same old if you know what I mean. I have a couple of things to do in town tomorrow while I am there and then I plan to be around here for the rest of the day.. The kids get out of school at noon so we will be home doing things here.. The girls will be working on painting their bedroom.. I am hoping to have them all moved in by Sunday night.. WOOHOO..

I have seen so many neat blogs and I am sure they have some HTML thing, however I have no idea how to do that or make my blog something other than just the templates like I have.. Is there anyone willing to help little ole me figure out how to make my blog really super nifty cool and help me find the really super nifty cool backgrounds and such.. Thank you so very much..
