Today was the first official we are outta school all day due to weather.. We are in the middle of an ice storm and so far we are very lucky we have still gotten power, however my parents did not have electricity when I talked with my dad earlier.. It was off in the night and again this morning..

The older boys just went to see a friend.. They took off with sleds and on foot. The rest of the kids are all here playing and I hope they can get along all day.. I am going to make cookies with them later today..

We are supposed to have at least another 1/2 inch of ice today and tonight so tomorrow will be another snow day tomorrow. We got 4 inches of snow the other day and now ice we are having weather issues here in North Missouri..  The ice is pretty, but it can also be very dangerous and destructive.

Well I need to get off here and get some laundry done and a few more dishes so I will be off for now, but back on later this afternoon as long as we have power.. Not to worry we have a wood stove and a fireplace so we will be toasty warm if we loose power..
