Snickerdoodles:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cream of tarter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Combine flour, baking soda and cream of tarter; set aside. In large bowl beat butter 30 seconds. Add sugar, egg, and vanilla. Beat until combined. Add half flour mixture. Beat until combined, add remaining flourmixture. Stir with wooden spoom until combined. Cover and chill dough 1 hour or until easy to handle. In shallow dish combine sugar and cinnamom, Shape dough into 1 inch balls, roll balls in the cinnamon sugar mix. Place 2 inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake @ 375 for 10-11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Transfer to wire rach and cool.. Makes about 36 cookies.
